Leopold Gross - OF COUNSEL

Leopold Gross is an experienced litigator who concentrates his practice on complex commercial, corporate, real estate, contract, tort litigation and criminal defense. Mr. Gross is experienced in handling cases on both the appellate and trial court levels.

Mr. Gross is a creative litigator who looks at every case as a new challenge.  Many lawyers try to solve new problems exactly the same way they solved old problems.  This limits inventiveness, and causes attorneys to look at current issues through the narrow lens of past experience. Mr. Gross believes that the only way to achieve a great result is to think outside the box and find ways to move the law into harmony with his client's current objectives, Mr. Gross treats each matter as a fresh opportunity to craft new law and a better solution to keep up with the ever changing landscape of business and law.

Mr. Gross enjoys the challenge of litigation and relishes his professional achievements. Mr. Gross’s notable decisions of interest include: Lemon Juice v. Twitter, Inc., 44 Misc.3d 1225(A) (Sup. Ct. Kings Co. 2014) (granting pre-action discovery compelling Twitter to disclose the identity of Twitter account owner whose tweets caused a false arrest and malicious prosecution); Gansburg v. Blachman, 111 A.D.3d 935 (2d Dep’t 2013) (holding arbitration award for real estate brokerage commission did not violate public policy where the face of the award did not indicate an illegal fee-splitting arrangement between licensed and non-licensed real estate brokers).

Mr. Gross was born and raised in New York, and is fluent in English, Yiddish and Hebrew.
